Texas Nonprofits: is a source for funding opportunities, volunteer match-ups, job listings, calendars of events and tons of resource material. Their database houses information on over 70,000 official Texas nonprofits, and over 5,000 Texas foundations.
Council on Foundations: is a nonprofit association of grantmakers and corporations working to encourage responsible philanthropy. This site includes links to COF Members, Foundation News and Commentary magazine, press releases, and a primer on foundation giving.
Foundation Center: is a clearinghouse of information on all forms of giving. Available at this site are many publications and resources available at Foundation Center libraries. It also includes a searchable bibliographical database of the Center's holdings, and links to private foundations, corporate grantmakers, grantmaking public charities and community foundations.
Chronicle of Philanthropy: offers this electronic version which is updated every other week on Monday morning, and contains a summary of the print version's contents, job announcements, and other information pertinent to the nonprofit sector.
Philanthropy News Network: provides abstracts of articles relating to philanthropy that have appeared in print and electronic media nationwide.
Philanthropy News Digest (formerly the Philanthropy Journal): includes the Philanthropy Journal Online, Philanthropy Journal Alert, Nonprofit jobs and Nonprofit books.

Guidestar: provides information about charities, featuring a new nonprofit each week. The site includes IRS 990 reports for foundations and nonprofit organizations.
Internet Nonprofit Center: Home to Donors and Volunteers. Besides general information on nonprofit organizations, this site provides a searchable database of IRS information for 1 million nonprofit groups.
Give.org - BBB Wise Giving Alliance: offers guidance to donors on making informed giving decisions through charity evaluations using Better Business Bureaus' standards, and various "tips" publications.
